Welcome to City Hall

Greetings from City Hall - the hub of the City of Seward! With a population 6,427, Seward is a place where you can keep that hometown feeling, live comfortably, raise a family and still enjoy the services of a metropolitan area with Nebraska's State Capital, Lincoln Nebraska only 24 miles to the east.

Our historical City Hall was built in 1908-1909 and is located at 537 Main Street - or the southeast intersection of Highway 15 and Highway 34. Our hours of service are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Customer service is our top priority as is illustrated by the following Vision and Mission Statements.

VISION

That citizens have a positive image of the City of Seward and that they are able to freely and conveniently access information allowing them to stay informed on City policies and issues.

MISSION

To professionally serve all citizens by providing accurate and timely information and by preserving documents and records .

We strive to provide same day service to our utility customers when they move to or from Seward.
